The Reverend Porsha Williams Gates is a public theologian, healer, digital content creator, consultant, writer, and preacher. Her work centers on social justice and wholeness with an Afrocentric hermeneutic using various technologies from preaching, tarot, reiki, and digital content creation. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Ministry Degree at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. She is a graduate of Spelman College and Yale Divinity School. She is currently the Founder and CEO of Porshanality Media, LLC. On January 2, 2022, Porsha will assume the role of the Assistant Pastor of the St. Paul Community Baptist Church of Brooklyn, New York.

Hailing from Bridgeport, CT, Rev. Porsha self identifies as an Afro-Christian futurist and womanist in living and praxis. She is both licensed (2012) and ordained (2015) into the Progressive Baptist Church by her Pastor, Rev. Dr. Anthony L. Bennett (Mount Aery Baptist Church).
Before her professional career in ministry, Rev. Porsha graduated from Spelman College in 2012 with a BA and Graduated from Yale Divinity School with a Masters of Divinity in 2015. She is the 2015 recipient of the Henry Hallam Tweedy Prize for exceptional promise in ministry from Yale Divinity School. While in divinity school, Rev. Porsha served as a Marquand Chapel Minister for YDS, and a pastoral intern at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
From 2015-2017, Rev. Porsha served as the FTE Transition into Ministry Pastoral Resident at the Mount Aery Baptist Church, of Bridgeport, CT. Rev. Porsha has also served as the Pastor to Youth and Children and the Pastor of the Example Youth Ministry of the Bethany Baptist Church of Newark, NJ until March of 2020.
